I am currently working toward my Bachelor of Arts degree in General Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle. I love science and biology, and one day I hope to become a doctor. I have been a swim coach and swimming instructor for several years, and have also tutored both children and adults in all of the core subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Reading, Writing, Physiology, Arithmetic, Science, Ecology, English, and Biology. I particularly like tutoring in the sciences, and I love all topics related to biology. In addition to the core subjects, I also help tutor advanced standardized test preparation for graduate level exams such as the MCAT. I believe that consistency and perseverance are key elements to academic success. In order to maintain these two qualities, one must have confidence in themselves. I strive to help my students gain the confidence they need by working with them to build up their strengths in their school work, or rebuild their confidence where it has been lost. Strong confidence leads to the easier completion of homework and better sitting of exams. These things, in turn, will create more confidence, and that is the cycle of academic success! As a tutor, it is my job to help students realize the potential within themselves and achieve the levels of confidence they need to succeed.
